Roger B Smith RIP

The greatest loss of market share was in the year Roger ousted Ross. We lost 4 points that year, mainly due to the negative publicity surrounding the separation. Roger did have great ideas, they simply failed to materialize. Overall he should be remembered as the man who began the precipitous decline from which we have yet to recover.

It was real car men like Durant, Sloan, Mott, Nash, Chrysler, Collins, and Curtice who built this company into the world dominating organization we once were. It is the finance men who have destroyed it. Roger, Jack, and of course Red Ink Rick are to blame and the entire country has suffered from their inordinate failure.
